Boeing offers a variety of work shifts, flexible schedules and pay practices. You’ll be paid appropriately for the hours you work. If you’re covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the information below may not apply to your situation

Boeing offers programs to help balance work and life, including telecommuting, alternative work schedules and flexible redistribution of hours.

In most locations, Boeing offers rate premiums for employees scheduled for second or third shifts and for those who have Saturday or Sunday as a regular work day.

You are expected to work additional hours in a pay week at your manager’s discretion when business requirements or emergencies require your service. The practices to compensate you for the additional hours of work depend on your exemption status under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and your management level.

  • Nonexempt employees: You’re entitled to overtime pay of 1.5 times your normal working rate for time worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week (subject to applicable state laws). If you’re a California non exempt employee, you’ll record overtime for hours worked beyond your scheduled hours.
  • Exempt employees: Exempt employees are not eligible for overtime, but Boeing offers an Extended Work Week (EWW) premium for hours worked over 80 within a pay period if your manager pre-approves the situation.
